(Alliance News) – On Monday Directa Plus PLC announced it has obtained a new European patent for one of its technologies.

The graphene manufacturer listed in London announced that its Graphene Plus technology obtained an Italian patent for air filtering applications. These include applications for the automotive industry, heating system and air conditioning.

“Graphene Plus has a disruptive potential in the air filtration industry thanks to its antibacterial and antiviral qualities. These keep the filters clean, particularly during and after the filtration process”, said Directa Plus.

On Monday morning Directa Plus’s shares were up to 4,8% at 87,00 pence at the London Stock Exchange.

Its intellectual property is made up of 22 patent families and counts 81 granted patents and 36 pending ones. “The granting of this new patent for the air filtration industry shows the size and the impact of our graphene technology, that can be used in a series of high-growth markets”, explained the founder and CEO Giulio Cesareo.
