GRAFYSHIELD® semi-finished for paints

GRAFYSHIELD® is a universal, environmentally sustainable, and highly effective semifinished for paint. It presents itself as a ready-to-use solid solution for paint production. The G+® base coat ensures anti-corrosion and flame-retardant properties. GRAFYSHIELD® additive is a solid phase dispersion of G+® Graphene Plus nanoplatelets and binder in solid pigments. This solid formulation can be used both in water-based and solvent-based paints. GRAFYSHIELD® is also used to substitute or partially reduce heavy metals in paints. The proprietary production process ensures a high uniformity of mixing: the peculiar process of the particles’ aggregation creates dust free granules or free flow powders. This solution significantly cuts paints producers cost by eliminating the grinding phase and drastically reduce logistical costs due the solid nature of GRAFYSHIELD®.

Description

Anti-corrosion: GRAFYSHIELD® protects surfaces from corrosion, surface chemical processes and other decomposition damage, thanks to the property of  barrier effect.
This special additive creates an impermeable layer that stops degradation caused by water, gas, chemicals, salt and extreme weather.

Flame retardant: GRAFYSHIELD® acts as an effective gas barrier and transports heat away from the flame, slowing the initial burning and preventing re-ignition.

Graphene Plus is a highly effective, non-toxic fire-retardant solution.
Traditional flame-retardant agents available on the market have drawbacks as they are toxic for the environment and people.

Graphene Plus has a synergistic effect and can be used to enhance existing fire retardancy properties in coatings, resins and foams.
