G+® Planar Thermal Circuit®

The G+® Planar Thermal Circuit® (PTC®) is a functional Graphene Plus print that can be applied to any type of fabrics.

The PTC® technology is based on a circuit with specific features in terms of pattern and coverage. This lattice has to be applied on the side of the textile that will become the inner side of the final garment. When directed towards the skin the Planar Thermal Circuit®, absorbs the heat produced by the human body. By doing so, it distributes the heat inside the garment thanks to the planar thermal conductivity of G+® Graphene Plus. Depending on whether PTC® is integrated in an open system (t-shirt) or closed system (insulating jacket), G+® provides heat dissipation (by interacting with the surrounding environment) or heat retention (creating a homogenized internal microclimate). This mechanism supports the natural thermoregulation of the human body, improving the thermal comfort and avoiding the hot spot effect by moving heat from a warmer point to a cooler one.
Furthermore the Planar Thermal Circuit® is antistatic and antibacterial, therefore it ensures a no-odor effect.

The circuit is of a solvent-free, engineered formulation patented and studied for textile applications (Oeko-Tex® Class I Articles).

Case history

We conducted several tests in the climatic chamber through certified labs to demonstrate the performances during sport activity conditions, defined with our different customers. The tests demonstrate that G+® reduces both the skin and core temperature of the athlete helping him to preserve more energy for the competition.

Directa Plus was a pioneer in the application of this technology in the workwear sector. Together with our partner Alfredo Grassi, an innovative leader in the workwear industry, we introduced the PTC® in the uniforms of the national firefighters, the Italian railway service, and many other public contracts. We achievied impressive results in terms of protection and thermal comfort.
